Our love for polished finishes and sleek artificial finishes has seen contemporary design take hold of most urban homes and office spaces in the last two decades. But the cyclic nature of design and decorating means we are once again moving towards interiors filled with natural textures that create a relaxing ambiance.
And even if you are not really into the sci-fi saga it is hard to turn away from this magical apartment where every little detail has been carefully crafted to fulfill the fantasy of its homeowners. Star Wars fanatic or not this is an interior that demands attention! The stunning was crafted with great care by White Interior Design and every detail here pays tribute to the Star Wars universe.
One of the biggest challenges during the design of this multi-level house was both its unique orientation and the flood of sunlight that entered the house because of the giant glass wall that connects the living area with the pool outside.
We absolutely adore the way that custom furnishings with glittering stainless steel and silvery finishes were added carefully to accentuate the splendid aura of each room even as mirrored finishes enhance the appeal of cheerful indulgence.
An open living area a long kitchen that also acts as a corridor and sweeping glass doors and windows that provide a constant view of the shoreline and the Go Home Bay channel make one’s stay here even more memorable. Smart cross ventilation operable clerestories and of course the dynamic green roof turn the cabin into an energy-saving structure with a minimal carbon footprint.
Perched on a lovely little lot that overlooks the shoreline this dreamy cabin epitomizes the classic architectural style of vacation homes in the Georgian Bay while giving those inside a chance to enjoy modern comfort and panoramic views.
While the public spaces seem far more transitional the bedroom and bathrooms completely embrace cool contemporary style with minimal décor and a white and gray color scheme. Beautiful blue accents a floating wooden vanity in the bathroom and a shower area with penny tiles add visual contrast even as cleverly placed artwork and wall murals in the kids’ room usher in a hint of bright color.
